Property listings, suburb data, investment calculations, exchange rates, and all other information on this site are provided for general informational purposes only. While we strive for accuracy:

  • Property prices, rental yields, capital growth figures, and suburb statistics are estimates based on publicly available data and may not reflect current market conditions.
  • Exchange rates are sourced from third-party APIs and are indicative only. They should not be used for financial transactions.
  • The investment calculator provides estimates for illustrative purposes. Actual returns, bond repayments, transfer duty, and costs may differ.
  • Transfer duty brackets are based on current SARS schedules but may change without notice.

Property listings on BackHome are submitted by registered estate agents or sourced from third-party feeds. We do not verify the accuracy of listing information including prices, descriptions, photos, or availability. Listings may be outdated, incorrect, or no longer available.

5. Agent Submissions

Estate agents who submit property listings through our platform:

  • Warrant that they hold a valid FFC (Fidelity Fund Certificate) issued by the PPRA (Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority) where required.
  • Warrant that all listing information, images, and descriptions are accurate and that they have the right to publish them.
  • Acknowledge that BackHome reserves the right to reject, edit, or remove any listing at our sole discretion.
  • Grant BackHome a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display their listing content on our platform.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the site without our written consent.
  • Interfere with the site's operation, security, or infrastructure.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on BackHome — including text, design, logos, graphics, data, tools, and code — is the property of BackHome or its licensors and is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BackHome and its operators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:
